Goooood morning on this gray, rainy Monday!
First things first — voting is now open for Project Food Blog’s Challenge #2! Thank you all SO much for voting for me in the first round! If you liked my Fresh Thai Summer Rolls entry post, I would be honored to have your vote for this round, too. Please take a minute to vote for me and any others you like. 🙂 If you’re scrolling through the entries, this is the photo to look for with my entry:
Hehe.
And now — by popular demand, I wanted to start sharing some pictures of me and Matt’s new apartment here in Chapel Hill! Today’s feature is the bedroom 🙂 Enjoy!
The bedspread/pillow set is new and from Target, where we purchased pretty much all the little necessities for our new place, haha. (Does anyone else find it impossible to go to Target and not buy 100 other random things not on your list?!)
We thought the bedspread was nice but also manly enough that Matt would like it, too 🙂
I love these cute little lamps we got for the bedside tables, also from Target. There’s no overhead light in the room, so these are perfect, especially for reading in bed! I was happy they matched the furniture so well, and that they’re small and don’t take up much space.
Another highlight is this super cute set of pictures Matt and I found at a store going out of business. We LOVED them and I was able to bargain down and get them both for $20, woohoo!
They live above our bed and make me happy 🙂
And now, for my favorite part of the bedroom — my JEWELRY!! I have a slight obsession with dangly earrings and chunky necklaces. Don’t judge.
LOVE these cheap plastic earring holders I found on eBay a few years ago to organize all my earrings — they look super cute on the wall and make it really easy to see everything and pick out what to wear!
My other love is these beautiful painted umbrella necklace holders I got years ago from World Market after seeing them in a friends room and falling in love. So cute AND practical!
All together now! My shrine to jewelry. Randomly, I don’t wear bracelets or rings much, but I’m obsessed with earrings and necklaces 🙂
I’m off to hit up my tiny apartment gym before heading to school for my fun food science lab! Today’s focus is milk and cheese. Sounds tasty! I’ll be back with a recap 🙂 In case you missed my previous Food Science Lab recaps, check them out:
